Early Life

Aya Ueto was born in Nerima, Tokyo to an Hokkaidan father and Okinawan mother. Her parents divorced shortly after Ueto's debut. She has two brothers; Shun, two years older, and Makoto, sixteen years older. Despite growing up in a relatively poor household, Ueto studied piano, modern ballet, swimming and gymnastic. She did not have ambitions to become an entertainer; she wanted to become a pre-school teacher. However, after hearing about one of her friends' experience as an extra on a TV drama, she decided she too "wanted to appear on TV." Unbeknownst to her daughter, Aya Ueto's mother entered her into the 7th Japan Bishōjo Contest.

Aged only twelve, Aya Ueto won the special jury prize at the contest. She revealed later on that her real motivation for doing well was to "win the two million yen cash prize to buy a house for her family," however because what she won was an ad hoc prize decided that day, there was no monetary reward. After her discovery, she joined the talent agency Oscar Promotion and began acting and singing lessons. In July 1998, Ueto joined the idol group Z-1. The group landed a regular spot on the variety shows Kaishingeki TV! Utaemon and The Yoru mo Hippare, and debuted on Toshiba EMI a year later with the single "Vibe!" In 1999, Aya Ueto obtained her first role in the film Satsujinsha: Killer of Paraiso, in which her lines were entirely in English.

Later that year, she was cast in the role of Nao Tsurumoto, a student suffering from gender identity disorder (GID), in the sixth season of the TBS drama 3-nen B-gumi Kinpachi-sensei. In between filming her first feature film, Azumi, Aya Ueto released her second single, "Kizuna", and launched Seventeen's Map, a radio show on Nippon Hōsō. Nozomi Sasaki (Sasaki Nozomi, 佐々木希, ささきのぞみ) was born in Akita Prefecture and lives in Tokyo, she is a famous Japanese model and actress.

After working as a fashion model for nearly 7 years, Nozomi Sasaki has become famous as a gravure idol and main ringside commentator/spokesperson for the mixed martial arts competition Dream Fighting Championships and the kickboxing competition K-1 World Max since 2009.

Since late 2008 Nozomi Sasaki has released five photobooks and two DVDs, and has also made countless appearances on television, magazines, and ads unrelated to fashion/cosmetic, including ones for Coca-Cola's green tea products, Suntory's 3 soft drink products, So-net, Willcom, Fujifilm, Kao, Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. and Seiko's Tisse brand line created for and dedicated to her. She has also endorsed an accessory brand, Cotton Cloud, since June 2010 when it was created for her and its first flag shop opened in Harajuku.

Nozomi Sasaki was given the nickname "No Mercy" for her countless reported atrocities toward other show-business girls she worked with, in her teenage years, especially toward actresses, glamour models, and fashion models from foreign countries, whom she considered to be "fat".

 Modeling Career

Nozomi Sasaki began modeling at the age of around 14. She modeled mainly in the collection circuit, and for fashion/cosmetic advertisements. In the latter years of her modeling career, Nozomi Sasaki was a featured model and contributor to the now defunct Pinky magazine. She first appeared on the cover of Pinky in July 2007, along with another cover girl, Emi Suzuki.

One theory suggests that Suzuki was the person who brought Nozomi Sasaki to the commercial modeling field after she discovered Nozomi Sasaki when Sasaki was planning to retire from modeling, and it has been noted that Nozomi Sasaki already appeared at the time to be significantly chubbier than she used to be.

 Gravure Career

After further intentionally gaining weight, she began appearing on the youth-targeted weekly manga magazine Young Jump and several of other magazines as a glamour model (gravure idol) in late 2008. Nozomi Sasaki released her first photobook, Nozomi, in August of that year.

Nozomi Sasaki made her first landing on the top cover of Young Jump in January 2009. This caused surprises in many fields. Model Coco Kinoshita who was close to Sasaki officially commented about this, "that dreadful one who tortured everyone now has extra weight on her chest and whole body, smiling for innocent boys with burning sticks!". She released her first full DVD, Dolly, and two photobooks, Nozomi Sasaki in Tenshi no Koi and Non, in 2009.

In early 2010 Nozomi Sasaki was specially featured by 2.4 million selling manga series Usogui on Young Jump, and released her fourth photobook Prism. Despite her breast size which has been known as one of the smallest in the gravure scene, she became a successful model by the end of 2010 in the field where breast size is regarded as a vital factor.

At that time she also began appearing on the Non-no magazine, a biweekly girl-next-door-orientated fashion magazine that does not usually feature people like her. Though after becoming more of a gravure idol than a professional model, Nozomi Sasaki was heavily featured in a spring fashion collection presented by the magazine and BS-TBS, and soon after that, she landed on the top cover of the magazine. These appearances have been described as like an "invasion", as she has significantly changed the magazine's tone. Some critics have suggested that the magazine has been destroyed by Nozomi Sasaki.

Jessica Alba became more famous in Hollywood in 1999 after acting in the Drew Barrymore romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, and as the main female character in the 1999 comedy-horror movie Idle Hands. She was chosen from a group of 1,200 actresses for the role of the genetically-engineered soldier, on the FOX sci-fi television series Dark Angel. The series ran for two seasons from 2000 until 2002. Alba was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work on that series. When she trained to be in Dark Angel, Jessica Alba had to exercise very much and she starved herself. She said "A lot of girls have eating disorders and I did too. I got obsessed with it." She also had obsessive compulsive disorder and panic attacks. She said she has been cooking for herself since the age of twelve so she would not become as fat as her family members.

Some of Jessica Alba's most famous movie roles are a dancer in Sin City and as Marvel Comics character Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four. She also acted in Into the Blue in 2005 and Good Luck Chuck a few years later. In 2008, Alba played her first horror-movie role in The Eye, a remake of the Hong Kong original. In February, she hosted an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences's ceremony. Later in the year, she starred in The Love Guru.

In 2010 Alba appeared in five movies including Little Fockers and The Killer Inside Me. The following year she appeared in Spy Kids 4, a sequel to Spy Kids.

 Personal Life

Jessica Alba was raised as a Roman Catholic. When she was a teenager she became a born-again Christian. However, she left the church after four years because she believed that she was being judged by the way she looked. She has said that she still believes in God even though she is not a member of the church. Jessica Alba has not performed naked. She was given the option to appear nude in Sin City by the movie's directors, Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez. She said no to the offer saying, "I don't do nudity. I just don't. Maybe that makes me a bad actress. Maybe I won't get hired in some things. But I have too much anxiety".

While filming Dark Angel, Jessica Alba began a romance with another member of the cast, Michael Weatherly. This caused controversy because he was 12 years older than she was. He asked her to marry him on her twentieth birthday but she said no. They eventually broke up after a four-year relationship. When talking about children, she said, "I'm really girly when it comes to kids. I've been surrounded by kids my whole life because I'm the oldest of 15 cousins—I've been changing diapers since I was six. I want to have a couple, for sure".

Jessica Alba married Cash Warren on May 19, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. She met him while making Fantastic Four in 2004. On June 7, 2008, Jessica Alba gave birth to a baby girl called Honor Marie Warren. She also does some charity work, including clothes charity Clothes Off Our Back and women's charity Step Up Women's Network. She is currently pregnant with her second child with Cash Warren.

 Awards and Nominations

In 2007, Maxim Magazine listed Jessica Alba as number 2 in their "Top 100", after Lindsay Lohan. GQ had her picture on their June covers. In May, after eight million votes, FHM (UK and US editions) named Jessica Alba the winner as "2007’s Sexiest Woman in the World". She received the Teen Choice Award for Choice Actress and Saturn Award for Best Actress (TV) for her role in Dark Angel, along with a Golden Globe nomination. In 2006, she received an MTV Movie Award for "Sexiest Performance" for Sin City.

Some people have said Jessica Alba's acting was bad. She was nominated for a 2007 Razzie Award for Worst Actress for her work in Awake, Good Luck Chuck, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

On the cover of the March 2006 issue, Playboy magazine named Alba among its 25 Sexiest Celebrities and the "Sex Star of the Year". She took Playboy to court for using a picture of her without her permission. However, she later dropped the lawsuit when she got a personal apology from Playboy owner Hugh Hefner. He agreed to make donations to two charities that Alba supports.
